"And you knotted them as a sign on your hands and they shall be forehead Tefililn (phylacteries) between your eyes" Deut: Chap. 6:8

The Tefilin put on the head of a person symbolizes his mind and his thinking.
The Tefilin put on the hand symbolizes his actions and deeds.

These Tefilin are written according to the Alter Rebbe's teachings. They are 4 cm x 4 cm / 1 1/2" x 1 1/2". The parchments are double checked - by hand and by computer. Includes a simple velvet bag and instructions for use and guarding.

The Jewish man starts the mitzvah of Tefilin when he reaches the age of 13 (Bar Mitzvah), and from that day on, he puts on Tefilin every morning except for
Shabbat and Holidays.

The Tefilin are made out of 3 parts:

1.
The
Batim – the boxes of the Tefilin are made out of goatskin or cow skin.

2.
The
Parshiot – the parchments that are placed in the cells of the Batim

3.
The
Retzuot – the straps of the Tefilin are made out of leather and should be black.

One of the 613 Mitzvahs that we
were commanded to do, is putting on Tefilin - "Love the Lord, your
G-d, with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts…"
